CAMPERDOWN 1
2024. Camperdown Elm, glue, stainless steel cables.
48” x 48” x 48” First of a series of suspended sculptures using salvaged Camperdown Elm branches, to create drawings in space. These forms are mutable, as they change depending on the location of the viewer, and over time as the branches change color and texture. The larger pieces are site specific.

Suspended sculpture made with salvaged willow branches which were hand metal leafed with real gold leaf that I had left over from a church altar project.

UNTITLED (Salt)
2024. Salt crystals, tulle, wire, aluminum, concrete.

A recent sculpture which involved sewing hundreds of fabric bags to hold the salt, all of which were sewn onto a woven rattan form. Plant biology as well as historic figuration (Artemis of Ephesus, Lot's wife etc), were sources of inspiration.

Sculpture made by tufting salvaged industrial rubber tubing into a woven steel, chicken wire and
rattan sub-structure. There are also artificial roses, that have been dipped in plaster and painted black, attached amongst the rubber tubes.


HYPHAE 2
2024. Steel wire, plaster, gauze, salvaged wood, cable.
120” x 72” x 72” Sculpture made by coating wires in plaster gauze, creating a snarl of dendrites and axonal neuronal shapes, suspended from the ceiling in a mutable cloud, which connects at a single point on astack of salvaged timber blocks.
