NATURE MUSEUM: COLLECTION
The Nature Museum: Collection is a project which has emerged out of creating a digital archive of objects from my personal “nature museum” collection. I have collected hundreds of items over the last 30 years, and house them in special cabinets in my studio. The documentation of the archive has taken on a life of its own, creating a new body work that uses a special technique utilizing a modified flatbed scanner. The imagery created has transcended the original objects, becoming unique and vibrant artworks through the creative editing process and printing at large scale.
